On February 22nd, 2025, Sport Evolution Alliance hosted a Webinar on Dual Careers in Sports & Academia that brought together experts and professionals for an insightful discussion on the challenges faced by athletes balancing their sporting careers with academic pursuits. The event featured key speakers including Rui Vieira (SEA), Nuno Laurentino (IPDJ), António Carapinheira (ISCIA Aveiro), and Victor Pardal (UAARE), who shared valuable insights on career transitions, support programs, and post-sports opportunities for athletes. From discussing measures to support dual careers to addressing the realities of retirement from professional football, each session provided critical perspectives on fostering long-term career success for athletes.
