Evolving Intellectual Property Rights Skills for Athletes

IPR-A Student Seminar Held at Instituto Piaget de Almada, Portugal

On April 16th, the second face-to-face seminar for students under the IPR-A Project was successfully held at the Instituto Piaget de Almada in Portugal. The event was hosted by Sport Evolution Alliance and brought together 19 engaged and motivated participants.

This seminar aimed to introduce students to the concept of Dual Career, with a special focus on the increasing importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the world of sports. The session served as a platform to raise awareness among young athletes and students about the vital role that IPR plays in protecting their innovations, ideas, and personal image.

Throughout the day, participants explored how IPR can support their career paths beyond athletic performance, particularly in entrepreneurship and personal branding. The interactive format encouraged dialogue and reflection, allowing attendees to gain valuable insights and practical tools for their future professional endeavors.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants for their enthusiasm, active engagement, and curiosity. Their contributions were instrumental in making the seminar a meaningful and impactful experience.
